Mark your calendars for April 21, 2017!
This year, we are expanding to a full-day event to include a 3-hour morning workshop session on science communication followed by an afternoon of engaging research talks and several interactive activities intended to help participants effectively communicate their STEM research to people with different backgrounds. We will also have several speakers who will give first-hand accounts of how science communication plays an essential role in their career.
Our keynote speaker, Dr. Madeline Sofia, will be traveling from Washington D.C. to talk about her experiences as a scientist, science communicator, and Assistant Producer at the NPR Science Desk.
